Things You Can Buy Later

Many students arrive with only the essentials and purchase additional items after settling in.

Items like mattresses, pillows, buckets, mugs, locks, hangers, stationery, and other hostel supplies are usually available on or around campus during reporting.

You also don't need to bring every item from home. There are plenty of shopping options nearby:

  • Local shops around the campus sell most day-to-day hostel essentials.
  • Many students visit DMart and Metro after reporting to buy items in bulk.
  • The city market has numerous stores for bedding, utensils, electronics, clothing, and personal care products.
  • Online deliveries from Amazon, Flipkart, etc. are also available.

Tip: Pack light. Bring the essentials for your first few days and buy the remaining items after you see your room and understand what you actually need.
