What is the Freshers Party?

The Freshers Party is one of the first major social events for first-year students. It is usually held in late October or early November and is organized by the second-year students of each branch for the first-year students of the same branch.

Every Freshers Party has a theme, and first-year students often participate through performances, introductions, skits, dance, music, fashion walks, or other activities. Second-year students also perform and help organize the entire event.

The event typically includes:

  • Branch-specific celebration organized by second-year students
  • Theme-based performances and activities
  • Participation from both first-year and second-year students
  • Selection of Mr. Fresher and Ms. Fresher
  • DJ night and dinner
  • Opportunity to interact with seniors in a formal and welcoming environment

On the day of the event, hostel reporting timings are usually relaxed for the concerned branch. Students are generally allowed to stay out later than usual, often until around 10:00 PM, after all scheduled activities conclude.

Freshers Party is considered one of the most memorable first-year experiences and serves as an official welcome to the branch community.
