Should I buy the mattress sold during reporting?

Mattresses are usually sold on campus during reporting, making them a convenient option for students arriving from other states.

However, many students feel that some of these mattresses are relatively hard and may not offer the best comfort for long-term use. Prices can also be higher than what you might find outside the campus.

Before buying:

  • Compare multiple options instead of purchasing the first one you see.
  • Check the thickness, softness, and overall quality.
  • Ask nearby students or seniors about the mattress they purchased and whether they are satisfied with it.
  • If possible, arrange a mattress from outside the campus or buy one from the city after reporting.

Student-led initiatives such as CampusIn and other vendors may also sell mattresses during the admission season. These can be convenient, but it's still worth comparing quality and pricing before making a decision.

A mattress is something you'll use every day for the next year, so take a few minutes to inspect it properly before purchasing.
