Wi-Fi & IT
How is the Wi-Fi on campus?
Wi-Fi is available throughout the academic and residential areas of the campus. Most students use it daily for classes, assignments, coding, streaming, video calls, and general browsing without major issues.
- Institute Wi-Fi is available across campus.
- Hostel Wi-Fi is available in hostel blocks.
- LAN ports are available in some hostels for wired connections.
- Students must log in using their institute credentials to access the network.
- A data limit of 25 GB per day is generally applied to student accounts.
- You can typically connect up to 2 devices at a time using your credentials.
The network is good enough for coding, online classes, browsing, streaming, and downloads. However, online gaming is usually not possible on the institute Wi-Fi, as many game servers and ports are blocked. Students who want to play online games often rely on mobile data or other alternatives.
